A degreed musician with 15+ years of performing, recording, touring experience. I know what it takes to be out there on the road and be able to perform on stage. My knowledge encompass both technical knowledge needed with private studio lessons and the practical side of what is needed on stage.

A Masters in Music Composition has allowed me to develop curriculum and teach all styles of music at various locations including Chicago’s Columbia College and the acclaimed Old Town School of Folk Music. Coupled with 15+ years of practical experience (touring internationally, recording, and performing with music’s hottest acts: Kenny Rogers, Heart, Patty Smyth, Soul Asylum, Carrie Underwood, etc.) offers a comprehensive, well-rounded experience for learning both the theoretical and practical approaches.

Lessons in electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, piano, voice, and songwriting.
Also production and performance techniques.

• Lessons are given in my studio in the Irving Park neighborhood.
• Lessons for beginners and younger students are typically 30 minutes - $25 per session.
• Lessons for adults and advanced students typically run 50 minutes - $45 per session
• Lessons are recorded to CD for the student to take with at the end of the lesson.
• Day and evening hours.
• I have a full recording studio so you can record song demos for your friends and family as you progress.
